Tiny Little Sandwich Shop. From the outside there is nothing inviting about this place. It's an old, wood frame building. There's a single, hand-painted sign over the door. It's tucked under some trees just off of the freeway. There seems to be no Earthly reason why you would stop here. So naturally I had to go in and check it out!

Despite the Italian sounding name, the eatery seems to be owned by Vietnamese. The inside is very clean. The eating area is small, but comfortable. There's a small menu of sandwiches on the wall behind the counter. Order what you want and they go in the back and fix if for you. The prices are cheaper than the major sandwich chains and the quality is just as good if not better.

Getting here is tricky. Convincing someone to go with you may also be a chore. But if you live or work in the area and you want a good sandwich for a cheap price, you can not beat Salatos Po Boys.

Their grilled chicken salad is my favorite. It’s delicious and the amount you get never disappoints. Their cheeseburger is also good. Hate they don’t do onion rings as an option to go with burger. My work loves this place and someone goes here at least once a wk.

I love the Salatos special with jalapeños. I go out of my way to eat lunch here. The building is very old but has a ton of character. Service is super friendly and fast.
